Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop control system hardware requirements and guide supplier design processes. The role focuses on aftermarket support of control system hardware, including field investigations and design-change evaluation.

You will interface with suppliers and Rolls-Royce engine program teams as part of a small team delivering hardware and documentation. 3-day in-office hybrid schedule, relocation available, and a path to growth await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace or Electrical Engineering with 1+ years in mechanical or control systems.
• Master's degree or PhD in related field.
• U.S. Citizen eligibility for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Own the responsibility for a package of mechanical control units on an existing platform.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve technical, manufacturing and supply chain issues.
• Investigate in-service issues and determine corrective action.
• Review non-conforming material and identify reliability improvements.
• Advocate for suppliers during gated design reviews and oversee new qualification efforts.
