Job summary

DEKA Research and Development, located in Manchester, NH, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op to join a dynamic R&D team. You will design and test medical products, create CAD models, and develop test procedures in a hands-on environment.

This 6+ month Spring rotation (January–June/July 2027) is for full-time students, with a focus on prototyping, data collection, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program at undergraduate junior/senior or graduate level.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on mechanical experience (cars, bicycles, FIRST robotics) a plus.
• SOLIDWORKS (or other CAD) experience; knowledge of creating manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with rapid prototyping; data acquisition and data presentation (Python or LabVIEW a plus).
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics (CFD a plus).
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail oriented.

DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for an Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to work in a dynamic Research and Development environment. In this role you will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.

DEKA offers Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). This position is for a 6+ month rotation for the Spring semester starting in January and ending in June/ July 2027.

How you will make an impact as a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op:
