Job summary

DEKA Research & Development in Manchester, NH seeks an Electrical Engineering Co-Op to work in a dynamic R&D environment. The 6+ month rotation begins in January 2027 and targets full-time student participation with a focus on hardware and embedded systems.

You will support new product concepts, characterize circuits, assist in failure analysis, verify and validate with test gear, and use Altium for schematic/layout tasks. Strong communication and hands-on projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program as a junior or senior, or in a graduate Electrical Engineering program.
• Hands-on project experience through academic or personal projects is required; medical device experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of analog circuits (signal and low-power) and digital electronics.
• Exposure to electrical CAD tools (schematic and layout) such as Altium.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; self-starter who works well in a team; detail oriented.

DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Co-Op to work in a dynamic R&D environment. In this role you will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.

DEKA offers Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). This position is for a 6+ month rotation for the Spring semester starting in January and ending in June/ July 2027.

How you will make an impact as an Electrical Engineer Co-Op:

• Support development of new products and new product concepts
• Perform characterization of electrical circuits and document performance
• Assist in failure analysis
• Perform verification and validation activities using test equipment and test fixtures
• Troubleshoot electromechanical prototypes
• Operate software on embedded systems
• Use electrical CAD tools for schematic and layout including Altium
• Use electrical engineering knowledge and principles to solve problems

Skills we are looking for in an Electrical Engineer Co-Op:

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program as a junior or senior, or in a graduate Electrical Engineering program .
• Demonstrated hands-on experience through technical academic or personal projects is required. Med Device related experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of analog circuits (signal and low-power)
• Knowledge of digital electronics
• Must have exposure to electrical CAD tools (schematic and layout)
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a self-starter eager to contribute in a team environment
• Must be detail oriented
