Job summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a Spring through Summer Mechanical Engineering Co-Op for 2027. Based in Bridgeton, MO, the role offers in-person or hybrid scheduling.

The Co-Op supports mechanical design and platform integration, maintains CAD models and drawings, and executes changes through configuration control. The candidate will work with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver producible designs that meet performance, cost, and schedule

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and current Junior or higher in a Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s program
• Minimum of 1 related internship/Co-Op or industry experience
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Experience with 3D modeling software: CREO Parametric, SolidWorks, Unigraphics
• Ability to read/mechanical drawings and use MS Office tools

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design and integration tasks for assemblies based on system requirements
• Create/revise CAD models and drawings; apply GD&T per ASME standards
• Prepare ECOs and support configuration management processes
• Troubleshoot prototype/test/production issues; identify root cause and corrective action
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers
