Job summary

Bayer seeks a Mechanical Engineering co-op in Pennsylvania, Indianola, for a 12‑month program starting Jan or May 2027. You will design and test mechanical components, develop fixtures for hardware testing, and generate test plans and protocols to support hardware validation.

You will analyze results, troubleshoot issues, own select test methods, and report progress to the hardware team, collaborating with peers across interfaces to ensure robust test coverage and reliable data.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an Mechanical Engineering degree program.
• Completion of at least second year of a Bachelors degree.
• Classwork in statics, dynamics, physics, and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Design and test mechanical components and parts.
• Design and development of mechanical fixtures for hardware testing.
• Generate hardware test plans and protocols.
• Analyze test results and compose test reports.
• Troubleshoot problems during testing and assume ownership of specific test methods and sub-modules.
• Routinely provide readouts to the larger hardware team about the progress of their work.
