Job summary

This is an educational, hands-on opportunity within Bayer's engineering groups. Applicants should be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program and have completed at least two years of study, with CAD, MATLAB, and Python experience preferred.

Qualifications

Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering degree program.
Completion of at least second year of a Bachelor’s degree.
Classwork in statics, dynamics, physics, and statistics.
Attention to detail, positive attitude, good work ethic.
Ability to independently troubleshoot.
Teamwork experience through coursework, lab work, and/or internship.

Responsibilities

Design and test mechanical components and parts.
Design and development of mechanical fixtures for hardware testing.
Generate hardware test plans and protocols.
Analyze test results and compose test reports.
Troubleshoot problems during testing and assume ownership of specific test methods and sub-modules.
Routinely provide readouts to the larger hardware team about progress.
