Job summary

Real Alloy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co‑Op/Intern for Spring or Summer 2027, based at our Beachwood, OH headquarters. The role offers exposure to AutoCAD/Inventor drafting, design of production equipment, and automation upgrades across multiple plant facilities within a 4‑hour travel radius.

Applicants must be pursuing a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years toward the degree, maintain a 3.25+ GPA, read electrical schematics, and be prepared to travel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years completed toward a degree.
• Overall GPA of 3.25 or above.
• Willingness to travel to job-sites 1–3 days as needed.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• AutoCAD familiarity or experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform AutoCAD/Inventor drafting, design and revision updates.
• Design production equipment concepts and prototypes.
• Develop project scope, RFQ packets and analysis of bids.
• Coordinate automation upgrades with controls teams and plant personnel.
• Prototype and test scale models, translate results to full-scale operations.
• Communicate across corporate, manufacturing and project teams.
