Job summary

XDIN, based in Greensboro, NC, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to drive design and documentation for automotive components. You will work within global teams to develop CAD data, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver robust chassis solutions from concept through release.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least four years of experience, Creo Parametric proficiency, and strong communication skills. On-site position with global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required; MSME or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Experience with Creo Parametric and large CAD assemblies.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and needs of vehicle service.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communications; ability to work globally.

Responsibilities

• Utilize engineering knowledge to develop projects within an assignment area.
• Develop engineering and component design documentation.
• Adhere to corporate standards and design methods.
• Propose design methods to complete new assignments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations in area of responsibility.
• Apply Quality Tools during design and release processes.
• Meet QDCF targets and develop chassis systems using kinematics, vibrations, durability concepts.
• Generate technical solutions for current and major programs.
• Coordinate with internal customers, engineering, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Utilize demonstrated engineering and develop projects within an area of assignment
• Develop engineering and component design documentation
• Complete work requirements to Corporate Standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required MSME or related field is preferred
• Minimum of 4 years’ of experience
• Knowledgeable in metals/materials and their application
• Understanding of manufacturing processes & an understanding of the needs of vehicle service
• Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint
• Excellent verbal and written communications with all levels of internal and external organizations
• Ability to work in global environment with challenging workload
• Experience in a major CAD system (Creo Parametric)
• Working knowledge of using PDM systems
• Experience with managing large assemblies
• Creo/Pro-E/Pro‑Engineer, Geometrical Architect, Vehicle Packaging, Vehicle Dynamics, Engine Installation, Axles, Suspensions, Chassis, GD&T, Large CAD Assemblies
