Job summary

Fabri is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and build the equipment that powers every step of our casting process. You will own mechanical systems from concept to commissioned hardware, working closely with process engineers and senior staff to turn requirements into machines that perform on the production floor.

This mid-level role focuses on hands-on equipment design, owning the mechanical stack as Fabri scales throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2–5 years designing and building equipment.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience machining and assembling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support build vs. buy decisions with performance analysis and cost estimates.
• Develop custom manufacturing equipment and subsystems from requirements to detailed design.
• Translate process requirements into mechanical designs and open new process regimes.
• Fabricate and assemble equipment hands-on and bring to production.
• Commission new equipment on the shop floor and validate performance.
• Write test plans and run acceptance testing before production.
