Job summary

Merlin Labs in Boston, MA is seeking a creative Mechanical Engineer to design, integrate, and test avionics and control components for aircraft and test labs. You will lead design tasks, perform stress and model analyses, and provide CAD support with GD&T in a fast-moving development environment.

This on-site role may require 25–50% travel to domestic and international locations. Requires a BS in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of experience, plus hands-on

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of technical work experience in aerospace/mechanical engineering.
• Experience leading engineering activities and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and test avionics and control components for aircraft and test labs
• Oversee and/or perform design and analysis tasks for system integration including stress and model analyses
• Provide CAD work in support of design activities, including GD&T
• Support and participate in testing activities – test plans, data analysis, and reports
• Prepare and coordinate mechanical drawings and related documents
• Travel up to 25-50% to domestic and international locations
