Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to write challenging AI-training problems drawn from your specialty, derive and verify solutions, and showcase where today’s AI systems fall short of a practicing engineer.

You will review AI-generated analyses and collaborate on ensuring rigor across mechanical design, structures, and dynamics. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience are expected; remote work is supported for eligible US applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and manufacturing.
• Ability to write precise, unambiguous technical problems and worked solutions in fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging, closed-ended problems from your area of expertise.
• Derive, verify, and document worked solutions.
• Test problems against AI systems and refine them for difficulty.
• Review AI-generated analyses and designs for correctness and real-world applicability.
• Review contributions from others for accuracy and rigor.
