Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our growing team in the United States. You will work on multidisciplinary projects with exposure to battery energy storage systems, CCUS, and other energy-focused initiatives.

The role emphasizes client interaction, proposal development, and cohesive teamwork within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will hold an EIT (required) and may pursue PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
• BSME or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical/energy/sustainability emphasis.
• ASHRAE membership and involvement (preferred).
• PMP certification (preferred).
• Experience with Revit MEP (preferred).
• Experience in building systems design and/or construction (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Proactive, collaborative team player.

• Prepare and assemble proposals to win work.
• Lead multi-discipline engineering teams through design milestones.
• Respond to client and vendor questions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (4+ years)who wishes to gain alternative energy experience for a variety of projects, learn how to develop new business relationships, and work in a professional fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be an outgoing, enthusiastic self-starter, with a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team and be willing to have fun!

Preferred Project / Technology Exposure

Salary range: $80,000-$93,000
