Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Code calculations and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering expertise in the early stages of design and product development.
• Investigate and analyze complex mechanical design and construction problems for assigned projects.
• Provide technical review of mechanical design calculations, analyses, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
• Collect and review all project design documents.
• Work on multiple projects/tasks as needed to meet schedule.
• Team up with peer engineers to deliver deliverables with quality.
• Communicate with project managers and other stakeholders to keep track of tasks, deliverables, and schedule.
• Prepare data sheet, bid tabs, RFQ/RFP packages, and perform calculation.
• Learn all Shaw tools to efficiently support the team on the design of modular refinery package.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer performs calculations, develops data sheets of equipment, prepares RFQ, and technical bid assessment. They generate technical clarification by interacting with vendors and suppliers to get the most optimum design according to project specifications, codes, and industry standards. They analyze technical issues and come up with cost effective design solutions to solve them.
