Job summary

RTX seeks a Mechanical Engineer I to support design, development, and production focused on radars and supporting structures, electronic modules, power, and cooling sub-systems.

You will contribute to technical problem solving and implement solutions in the development of new hardware in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (STEM).
• Experience with CAD software or CREO.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.

• Mechanical design and documentation of hardware and systems utilizing engineering tools, and MS office suite.
• Contribute as part of a small team during product development, part and drawing creation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation.
• Creatively apply mechanical engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex design problems and make sound and rationale data oriented technical conclusions in a fast paced, team environment.
• Provide factory and supplier support.
• Collaborate with other mechanical engineers, designers, and structural / thermal analysts, as well as engineers from other disciplines to support business objectives of the organization

What You Will Do

As a Mechanical Engineer I you will primarily support design, development, and production focused on radars and supporting structures, electronic modules, power, and cooling sub-systems. • Strong aptitude for efficient and disciplined process execution, coupled with the flexibility to adapt and tailor processes as necessary for task requirements.
• Proven ability to apply academic engineering principles to identify and resolve design challenges.
• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering design processes.
• Familiarity with Mechanical Tolerance Analysis and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
