Job summary

Teledyne Storm Microwave, a Teledyne Technologies division, designs cutting-edge RF solutions and high‑reliability microwave harnesses in Woodridge, IL. Join a team focused on precision engineering and collaboration to deliver complex harnesses and assemblies for demanding applications.

We seek an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong CAD skills, RF/microwave background, and a proven ability to create technical drawings, analyses, and documentation for customer specifications.

Qualifications

  • ME or EE degree from a 4-year program is required.
  • 5+ years' experience with microwave, RF products or fiber/power/signal harnesses.
  • Proficient with Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • U.S. Person required.
  • Experience with 50-ohm coax cables a plus.
  • CAD 3D modeling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop 50-ohm microwave harnesses and related components.
  • Design and develop fiber/power/signal harnesses and related components.
  • Create and review technical drawings and customer specifications.
  • Perform calculations, testing, and data analysis to ensure product reliability.
  • Maintain bills of materials and routings in the system.
  • Develop assembly instructions and design test fixtures.
  • Communicate technical requirements with customers, sales, and internal teams.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for engineering projects.

What you’ll do
  • Design and develop 50-ohm microwave harnesses and related components.
  • Design and develop fiber/power/signal harnesses and related components.

What you need

  • Must be a U.S. Person (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees) (required)
  • Experience with 50-ohm coax cables and connectors (preferred)
  • Experience creating 3D models of components and assemblies in CAD (preferred)

Salary Range:

$82,600.00-$110,100.000
