The Aberdeen facility is the leading manufacturer of plated ground rods in North America and is expanding its capabilities with ERIFLEX/Flexibar production.

This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys solving real manufacturing problems and seeing the results of their work. • Design, develop, implement, and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes.
  • Work directly with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Manufacturing to solve problems and support the day-to-day needs of the plant.
  • Use equipment and reliability data to identify the root causes of downtime and put sustainable solutions in place.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support for complex mechanical equipment and manufacturing process issues.
  • Lead capital equipment projects from concept through startup, including equipment specifications, vendor coordination, procurement, installation, and implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ergonomics, safety, throughput, product quality, equipment reliability, and operating costs.
  • Help drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and plant performance.
  • Use Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methods to support Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash (SQDCC) goals.
  • Develop engineering standards, procedures, and documentation that help sustain improvements over the long term.
YOU HAVE:

  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, maintenance, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience leading or supporting equipment upgrades, capital projects, and process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, or similar problem-solving tools.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools preferred.
  • A hands-on approach to problem solving and an interest in working closely with production and maintenance teams.
