Job summary

Automation Displays, Inc. is growing and hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems, enclosures, and assemblies for customer projects and product development initiatives.

The role emphasizes manufacturability, reliability, quality, and cost objectives, with collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and operations to support from concept through production release. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and CAD experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, controls, or engineered-to-order environments preferred.
  • Experience designing mechanical assemblies, enclosures, or industrial equipment preferred.
  • Experience utilizing 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, enclosures, and related engineered solutions.
  • Develop mechanical drawings, models, specifications, and bills of material.
  • Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
  • Support customer projects from concept through production release and project completion.
  • Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and engineering evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Operations teams to support production, assembly, and issue resolution activities.
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations.

Schedule: M-F from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and support of mechanical systems, enclosures, assemblies, and engineered solutions for customer projects and product development initiatives. This position develops mechanical designs that meet customer requirements while ensuring manufacturability, reliability, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, enclosures, and related engineered solutions.
  • Develop mechanical drawings, models, specifications, and bills of material.
  • Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
  • Support customer projects from concept through production release and project completion.
  • Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and engineering evaluations.
  • Select appropriate materials, components, and hardware based on design requirements and project objectives.
  • Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Operations teams to support production, assembly, and issue resolution activities.
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations.
  • Be willing to Learn and Grow!
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
    required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical engineering experience preferred.
