Job summary

AriensCo in Brillion, WI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the RapidCare business unit, supporting service parts, accessories, and attachments. In this role, you'll build on your engineering expertise, collaborate with experienced team members, and help drive continuous product improvement.

The day-to-day focuses on technical excellence, problem-solving and innovation, enabling you to shape products that deliver value to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited school.
  • Design for Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment within the outdoor power/off-highway equipment industry preferred.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical information for groups including Design, Tooling, Internal/External Engineering, Sourcing, Testing, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Identify components and suppliers that meet product system level requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews for mechanical sub-systems and components.
  • Coordinate component and sub-system level testing with clearly written test requests.
  • Apply DFM/ DFA principles to components and assemblies.
  • Prepare, secure, and review cost estimates and related information.
  • Support system and component failures with FMEA and root cause analysis (8D).
  • Review and approve mechanical component documentation by designers.
  • Review industry patents and create IP to protect company interests.

Job Description

AriensCo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at our location in Brillion, WI to join our RapidCare business unit, supporting service parts, accessories, and attachments. In this role, you'll build on your engineering expertise, collaborate with experienced team members, and help drive continuous product improvement. THE DAY TO DAY...
  • Develop and provide technical information to other groups as required. These groups would include Design, Tooling, Internal/External Engineering, Sourcing, Testing, Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Tech Pubs, Industrial Design, Marketing/Sales, Service Group, and Operations
  • Identify components and suppliers that meet product system level requirements
  • Participate in technical design reviews related to mechanical sub-systems and components that will be used on assigned platform and innovation projects
  • Coordinate component and sub-system level product testing through test group with clearly written test requests
  • Participate with other groups in the application of DFM/DFA in components and assemblies
  • Prepare, secure, and review cost estimates, compile required cost and equipment information
  • Support system/component level failures and investigates problems through FMEA and structured root cause analysis such as 8D
  • Direct, review, and approve work of designer in detailing mechanical component documentation
  • Review industry patents related to mechanical systems on OPE and create IP to protect and advance company's interests
THE QUALIFICATIONS...
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited school required; Mechanical Engineer degree preferred.
  • Design for Six Sigma knowledge preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment within the outdoor power/off-highway equipment industry preferred
