Job summary

At AriensCo in Kenosha, WI, we are seeking a talented Forklift Operator to ensure efficient movement and management of materials crucial to our operations. You will work in a safety-conscious environment with a focus on teamwork and precision.

Starting pay is $22.00/hour with a Monday–Friday 8:00AM–4:30PM schedule. You will contribute to our distribution process and help power our outdoor equipment manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

• Effective communication within a team and across levels of the organization.
• Physical endurance to stand for long periods (often 8+ hours).
• Manual dexterity to position parts precisely.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as required.
• Strict PPE compliance for safety.
• Team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience operating forklifts and related material handling equipment (stand-up and reach truck preferred).

Responsibilities

• Handle materials safely within a team-based distribution process.
• Manage inventory and store materials in designated locations.
• Operate equipment required to complete tasks efficiently.
• Follow standard work procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
• Assist teammates to achieve daily production targets.
• Document material movements in the AS400 system accurately.
• Load and unload materials onto trucks and ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform receiving duties and offload incoming products to storage locations.

THE DAY TO DAY...

• Material Handling Expertise: Collaborate within a team responsible for the safe handling of materials essential for outdoor power equipment manufacturing
• Inventory Management: Precisely handle raw materials and parts, ensuring they are stored in designated locations
• Equipment Operation: Proficiently operate machinery necessary to execute job tasks
• Adherence to Standards: Maintain strict adherence to established standard work procedures to ensure consistency and quality
• Team Support: Assist fellow team members in various areas to collectively achieve daily production targets
• Accurate Documentation: Record essential information in compliance with standard work protocols
• Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload materials and units onto trucks as needed
• AS400 Data Entry: Enter material movement data into the AS400 system for accurate tracking
• Timely Deliveries: Deliver the right parts in the correct quantities to assembly cells or work centers in a punctual manner
• Receiving Duties: Offload incoming products and transfer them to designated storage locations
• Set-Up Assistance: Provide support for set-up duties as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Goal-Oriented Collaboration: Collaborate with team members across various departments to achieve daily production targets effectively.
• Other duties as needed

The Qualifications...

• Effective Communication Skills: Proficient in communicating effectively within a team and across various levels of the organization
• Physical Endurance: Capable of standing for extended periods, often exceeding 8 hours per day
• Manual Dexterity: Skilled in using hands to accurately position parts in place as required
• Lifting Ability: Demonstrated capacity to lift objects weighing up to 35 pounds at varying frequencies
• PPE Compliance: Strict adherence to wearing the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for safety
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly as part of a team, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment
• Forklift and Equipment Operation: Proven experience in the safe and proficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. Stand-up and Reach Truck experience preferred
