Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering from a four-year accredited school required.
  • Mechanical Engineer degree preferred.
  • Design for Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment in outdoor power/off-highway equipment preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide technical information to cross-functional groups (Design, Tooling, Engineering, Sourcing, Testing, Manufacturing, Tech Pubs, Marketing/Sales, Service, Operations).
  • Identify components/suppliers that meet system-level requirements.
  • Participate in technical design reviews for mechanical sub-systems and components.
  • Coordinate component/sub-system testing with test groups and clear test requests.
  • Apply DFM/DFI concepts to components and assemblies.
  • Prepare and review cost estimates and required equipment information.
  • Support system-level failures and conduct root-cause analysis (8D) and documentation.

Job Description: AriensCo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at our location in Brillion, WI to join our RapidCare business unit, supporting service parts, accessories, and attachments. THE DAY TO DAY
  • Develop and provide technical information to other groups as required. These groups would include Design, Tooling, Internal/External Engineering, Sourcing, Testing, Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Tech Pubs, Industrial Design, Marketing/Sales, Service Group, and Operations
  • Identify components and suppliers that meet product system level requirements
  • Participate in technical design reviews related to mechanical sub-systems and components that will be used on assigned platform and innovation projects
  • Coordinate component and sub-system level product testing through test group with clearly written test requests
  • Participate with other groups in the application of DFM/DFA in components and assemblies
  • Prepare, secure, and review cost estimates, compile required cost and equipment information
  • Support system/component level failures and investigates problems through FMEA and structured root cause analysis such as 8D Direct, review, and approve work of designer in detailing mechanical component documentation
  • Review industry patents related to mechanical systems on OPE and create IP to protect and advance company’s interests
THE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited school required; Mechanical Engineer degree preferred.
  • Design for Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment within the outdoor power/off-highway equipment industry preferred.
