Job summary

The CenCore team in Payson, Utah seeks a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to drive design, prototyping, and manufacturing of secure infrastructure solutions, including modular SCIF enclosures and mission-critical facilities.

You will translate customer needs into practical concepts, develop cooling systems and integrate components using Onshape and AutoCAD, advancing designs from concept through production with limited oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with mechanical design, prototyping, and product development.

• Ability to manage project tasks independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

CenCore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, prototyping, and manufacturing of secure infrastructure solutions, including modular Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, secure enclosures, and mission-critical facilities. This role transforms customer needs and broad objectives into practical, deployable solutions that support defense, intelligence, and national security customers. The Mechanical Engineer will contribute throughout the product development lifecycle, from research and concept development through prototyping and design for manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can solve complex technical challenges, work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and manage a broad project scope with minimal oversight.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Compensation Overview

The anticipated salary range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000 annually. This range represents CenCore's current good-faith estimate for the position and may be adjusted based on relevant experience, qualifications, approved compensation practices, and applicable requirements.

Eligible employees may enroll in company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision benefits in accordance with plan terms and enrollment requirements. The company contributes toward employee healthcare premiums, subject to plan provisions.
