Job description

As a full-time member of the Engineering Team, you’ll engage in creative design and problem solving every day as a Mechanical Engineer. You’ll work as part of a global team to create new products, ideate and drive continuous improvement, identify root cause of failures, engage on customer projects, and more!

You have proven experience leading mechanical designs from concept to production and an ability to prioritize and execute with the support of your team. This is a chance to use your knowledge, skills, and experience to make a lasting impact on the future and scalability of our company.

We believe in the power of in-person collaboration and the benefits of a strong workplace community. Therefore, this role requires an onsite presence at our South Burlington, Vermont office. We encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute to apply.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Working with computer hardware and chassis designs, creating and modifying design files and drawings in Solidworks.
  • Leveraging our global test and lab capabilities to validate product designs.
  • Coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers to inform and support your work.
  • Leading and engaging in design reviews and providing product development inputs.
  • Helping to create and maintain project schedules and documentation.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to solve highly technical challenges in the computer, mechanical, electrical, and/or software engineering disciplines.
  • Using your analytical mindset and problem solving skills to identify system- and component-level root cause(s) to complex problems. You’ll do this through hands-on debug, collaboration, and thorough engineering analysis.
  • Championing an organized approach to work and workspaces with a strong sense of personal responsibility, holding yourself and others accountable.
  • Prioritizing project activities in alignment with company goals and holding team members accountable.
  • Leveraging your ability to quickly and efficiently learn new processes and technologies.

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; or years of relevant work experience in a technical environment.
  • You demonstrate sound engineering judgment and possess the ability to reconcile multiple points of view, concepts, and requirements when designing Corrective Actions and other solutions.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now and in the future.
Who we’re looking for:
  • A Hands-On Hardware Builder: You prefer stepping away from the desk to build, validate, and debug physical assemblies rather than spending all of your time in CAD.
  • CAD & Version Control Disciplined: Proficient in 3D modeling (SolidWorks or equivalent) with a strong habit of organizing, controlling, and releasing clean design files and revision histories.
  • GD&T & Manufacturing Communicator: Practical knowledge of GD&T standards to clearly define technical specifications and drawings for manufacturing and supplier partners.
  • Environmental & Lab Testing Skilled: Experienced with physical hardware validation using test equipment like thermal chambers and shock & vibration rigs.
