Overview

This is a factory-facing mechanical engineering position located in Seguin, Texas, designed to support assembly line operations, design updates, and validation activities. The role is hands-on and requires direct engagement with the shop floor, cross-functional teams, and global counterparts.

Base pay range

$36.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Key Functional Areas

• Assembly Line Support
• Attend line calls and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate rework activities with contractors.
• Validate supplier deviations and approve or reject them.
• Update designs based on defects or improvement requests.
• Use tools like Creo and TeamCenter for co-design and documentation.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and validation planning.
• Test Cell & Electrical Interface
• Assist with basic diagnostics in test cells (voltage, current readings).
• Provide feedback when electrical engineers are unavailable.
• Understand basic electrical components (breakers, wires, relays).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with purchasing, manufacturing engineering, and quality teams.
• Coordinate with offshore design teams in India and PSP Brazil.
• Communicate product improvements across global facilities.
• Compliance & Standards
• Basic understanding of compliance is preferred.
• A dedicated compliance lead is available for support.

Qualifications & Expectations

• Education: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Factory floor experience is essential; hands-on attitude required.
• Tools: Proficiency in Creo, TeamCenter, and Plex is preferred.
