Mechanical Engineer I

Location: Cedar Park, Texas
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Senior Vice President of Engineering

Job Responsibilities
  • Support R&D activities, ensuring all documentation and processes are ready for manufacturing. Includes maintaining BOMs, drawings, and ECNs.
  • Develop, evaluate, and continuously improve manufacturing methods, leveraging knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication and assembly processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, as well as quality control standards.
  • Recommend, evaluate, and coordinate facilities and equipment requirements. Includes keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
  • Provide engineering support for production, including training, tooling, fixtures, and process requirements, during the product prototype stage.
  • Assist the Procurement team in sourcing mechanical components.
  • Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
Required Qualifications
  • The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Oto 3 years of experience or equivalent.
  • Candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to read engineering drawings (including GD&T), electrical schematics, and wiring/cable drawings.
  • Strong computer skills, including SolidWorks or AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, are required.

Tech I - Mechanical Subassemblies

Location: Cedar Park, TX
Department: Manufacturing / Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Manager

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for assembling mechanical subassemblies from sheet metal components and machined parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble Electro-mechanical subassemblies using sheet metal components, machined parts, fasteners, and hardware.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Operate basic hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Inspect incoming parts for defects or deviations from specifications before assembly.
  • Follow established work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly issues.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
  • 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or Trade School experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Skilled in the use of basic mechanical assembly tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily shop floor/manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and shop chemicals (with appropriate PPE provided).
  • May require overtime or shift flexibility based on production needs.
