Job summary

Salientmotion is seeking a design engineer to create production hardware and test equipment for advanced motion control solutions. You will design electromechanical systems and collaborate across teams to define design requirements.

The role requires a BS in mechanical engineering and 2+ years of full design cycle experience, with NX CAD proficiency and knowledge of electrical enclosures, DFM and GD&T. On-site in Saginaw, MI with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of full design cycle experience from ideation to production.
• Experience with NX or other CAD tools and design for electrical enclosures.
• Knowledge of DFM and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design production hardware and test equipment.

• Collaborate across all levels to develop design requirements.
• Select and manage contract manufacturers for various processes.

What you\'ll do:

• Design production hardware and test equipment
• Design and analysis of Electromechanical Systems
• Work across all levels of the organization to develop design requirements
• Select and manage contract manufacturers for a variety of manufacturing processes
• Work with PCBAs and electronics enclosures

What you need:

• Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline
• 2+ years of experience with the full design cycle from ideation to production
• Design experience in NX or other CAD package
• General knowledge of designing for electrical enclosures
• Knowledge of DFM and GD&T

Nice to have:

• Gearbox design and fabrication
• Strong understanding in electromechanical actuator design and analysis
