Job summary

A pioneering motion technology firm in California is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to innovate in producing hardware and electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of experience from ideation to production. Responsibilities include designing and testing hardware, managing manufacturers, and developing design requirements. Experience designing for electrical enclosures and PCBAs.

What you'll do:

Design production hardware and test equipment
Design and analysis of Electromechanical Systems
Work across all levels of the organization to develop design requirements
Select and manage contract manufacturers for a variety of manufacturing processes
Work with PCBAs and electronics enclosures

What you need:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline
5+ years of experience with the full design cycle from ideation to production
Design experience in NX or other CAD package
General knowledge of designing for electrical enclosures
Knowledge of DFM and GD&T

Nice to have:

Gearbox design and fabrication
Strong understanding in electromechanical actuator design and analysis
