Job summary

System One is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to robot design, fabrication, assembly and testing at our Pittsburgh, PA site. You will develop electromechanical systems from concept to prototype validation, performing modeling, analysis and simulations to ensure robust designs.

Responsibilities include developing CAD models and drawings, integrating subsystems, conducting tests and supporting fabrication using modern manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 4+ years of experience developing mechanical systems.
• Experience in electromechanical subsystems design.
• 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred).
• Plus: ANSYS and/or SolidWorks Simulation experience.
• Plus: manufacturing using CNC mill/lathe, laser cutters, and 3D printers.
• Plus: experience specifying/selecting electrical components for robotic systems.
• Plus: knowledge of electrical circuit design.
• Plus: programming for prototype development (Python, Arduino, etc.).
