Job summary

Westmor Industries, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer to develop and optimize layouts for truck and trailer equipment at our Morris, MN facility. You will analyze designs, ensure manufacturability and adherence to Westmor standards while driving product improvements.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Inventor and Ansys. Competitive compensation with benefits, located in Morris, MN.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD tools: AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Inventor, and Ansys or similar.

Responsibilities

• Perform design layouts for truck and trailer equipment.
• Conduct design analyses and ensure designs are manufacturable and meet standards.
• Evaluate and implement design changes to improve products.
• Support R&D activities and maintain accurate drawings and BOMs.

Job Description

A Design Engineer is responsible for completing the following duties:

Design Layouts

• Perform design analysis for truck and trailer equipment
• Implement product improvements in an evolving industry
• Evaluate and implement design changes
• Projects are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations
• Dedication to research and development of products
• Designs meet Westmor Industries engineering standards
• Design analyses, drawings, and bills of materials are accurate
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.
