Job summary

Career Collective is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Minnesota team to design HVAC systems and ductwork for commercial, institutional and mixed-use projects.

You will prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and load calculations, review RFIs and shop drawings, and collaborate with architecture, electrical, civil teams while supporting field observations and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of HVAC/mechanical design experience on commercial/mixed-use projects.
• EIT or PE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• HVAC and ductwork design for diverse projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Compute heating, cooling loads and perform load calculations.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, and participate in field observations.
• Collaborate with architecture, electrical, civil disciplines.

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of various HVAC mechanical systems and have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities:

• HVAC and Ductwork design
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Prepare heating, ventilation, and air conditioning load calculations
• Work on multiple projects, including commercial, retail, healthcare, data center and more
• Review and answer RFIs, review shop drawings, participate in field observations, and write reports
• Collaborate with other disciplines such as architecture, electrical, civil, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC / Mechanical Design Engineering. Experience working on commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, education, or mission-critical projects a plus.
• EIT or PE license is highly preferred, but non-licensed candidates will be considered for Designer positions.
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD is required.
• Experience using Trane Trace, Trace 700, and/or Carrier HAP is a plus.
