Job summary

Eastern Aero Marine, Inc. (EAM Worldwide) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, configuration, manufacturing, and continuous improvement of aerospace products.

This role manages engineering changes, maintains documentation, troubleshoots issues, conducts RCCA investigations, and supports production, quality, suppliers, and customers. The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in mechanical engineering; aerospace exp is preferred, and AutoCAD

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience; aerospace experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Experience with engineering change management, RCCA, product testing, and technical documentation.

  • Assist with pFMEAs and support POA and Boeing program requirements.

Eastern Aero Marine, Inc., Inc. DBA EAM Worldwide (EAM), with a 74-year history, is a manufacturer and performs maintenance of critical Aviation Emergency Survival equipment trusted by airlines, aircraft manufacturers, governments, and operators around the world. Our life vests, life rafts, evacuation slides, and survival kits are

sold to an international customer base in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, and South America. Customers include OEM’s, airlines, and after-market customers. When an aircraft experiences an emergency, the products we build may become the last line of protection for hundreds of passengers.

Position Summary

EAM Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, configuration, manufacturing, and continuous improvement of our aerospace products. This role is responsible for managing engineering changes, maintaining product documentation, troubleshooting technical issues, conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, and providing engineering support to production, quality, suppliers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage engineering changes (ECNs/ECRs), product configurations, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Create and update AutoCAD drawings, SolidWorks models, and engineering documentation.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and product issues and perform RCCA investigations.
  • Conduct product testing, analyze results, and prepare technical reports.
  • Provide engineering support to production, quality, suppliers, and customers.
  • Assist with pFMEAs and support Airbus Production Organization Approval (POA) and Boeing program requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable aerospace quality standards.

  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical engineering experience; aerospace experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD required; SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Experience with engineering change management, RCCA, product testing, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Bills of Material (BOMs), and engineering drawings; familiarity with AS9100 and ERP/PDM systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
