Job Description
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Designs are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations
  • Designs are completed according to schedule
  • Designs meet Afinitas engineering standards
  • Design analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurate
  • Develop innovative conceptual solutions
  • Coordinate layout and design of equipment
  • Perform design analysis for equipment
  • Create manufacturing drawings for equipment
  • Create and complete bills of material for equipment
  • Evaluate and implement design changes
  • Work with manufacturing on build processes and improvement
  • Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office software effectively
Qualifications
  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree required
  • Thorough understanding of:
    • Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
    • Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed
    • Strength of materials and structural analysis
    • Manufacturing processes
  • Ability to perform strength calculations
  • Training and/or experience in using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3-D modeling software
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to shifting priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Work individually as well as in a team environment
  • Takes personal ownership and satisfaction on quality work
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
