Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Indiana is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support extrusion manufacturing by improving equipment reliability, leading capital projects, and driving safety and sustainability initiatives in a high-performance aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, industrial equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Experience managing capital projects from concept through implementation.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley controls, VFDs, servos, and motion-control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing, aluminum extrusion, or heavy industrial environments preferred.

Job description

The Mechanical Engineer will support extrusion manufacturing operations by improving equipment reliability, leading capital projects, driving safety and sustainability initiatives, and providing hands‑on engineering support in a high-performance aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • Lead equipment upgrades, rebuilds, installations, and facility expansion projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in aluminum extrusion or metalworking industries.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, NadCap, or other aerospace quality standards.
  • Exposure to casting/molten metal facilities.
