Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Indiana seeks an Electrical Engineer to support extrusion manufacturing operations by improving electrical and control system reliability, leading capital projects, and driving safety and sustainability initiatives.

You will maintain and enhance electrical, automation, and control systems for extrusion equipment, manage capital projects from concept to commissioning, and collaborate with maintenance, production, and safety teams to boost reliability, quality, and energy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, industrial, or controls engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial power systems, motor controls, PLCs, and automation equipment.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and industrial networks.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
  • Experience managing capital projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical equipment upgrades, control system modernization, installations, and facility expansion projects.
  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical assets.
  • Manage CAPEX budgets, project schedules, and implementation activities.
  • Coordinate work with maintenance personnel, contractors, OEMs, and vendors.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, HMI, VFD, servomotion control, and instrumentation issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Support electrical system design, documentation, and standards development.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety requirements, and company standards.

Bachelor's degree in ElectricalEngineering orarelatedengineeringdiscipline.

3+ years ofmanufacturing,industrial, orcontrolsengineering experience.

Strong knowledgeofindustrialpowersystems, motorcontrols,PLCs, and automation equipment.

Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, andindustrialnetworks.

Abilitytoreadandinterpretelectricalschematics, wiring diagrams,and controldrawings.

Experiencemanagingcapitalprojects fromconcept through commissioning.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving,communication, andleadershipskills.

Experience in aerospacemanufacturing, aluminumextrusion,metals manufacturing, orother heavyindustrialenvironments preferred.
