Job summary

Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer - PE (HVAC) will lead a mechanical team, direct and review projects, and develop long-term relationships with clients. This individual will liaise between clients and co-workers to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects according to client needs.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:
  • Responsible for overall results for the projects managed.
  • Coordinate and schedule workload of the team to meet expectations/deadlines.
  • Mentor and develop the team and support a healthy workplace atmosphere.
  • Interact with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, and fellow engineers and designers to coordinate designs.
  • Develop accurate and precise designs complying with recognized standards, company practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Design building mechanical systems including plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection for large buildings and facilities.
  • Prepare technical specifications supporting your designs.
  • Prepare load calculations to facilitate equipment and system sizing.
  • Report to senior management about progress and changes.
  • Interface with administrative and support staff.
  • Marketing through repeat business and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:

  • Position requires (50%) travel within the local area, traveling to office and business locations to conduct business transactions. This involves exposure to weather conditions, traveling distances to and from buildings, and operating a vehicle.
