Job summary

Salient Motion, Inc. in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a mechanical/electromechanical design engineer to help design production hardware and test equipment for next‑gen motion technology.

You will contribute to the full design cycle, from ideation to production, collaborating across teams and coordinating with contract manufacturers to ensure robust, manufacturable enclosures and assemblies. Relocation is available, and the company offers competitive compensation plus equity and strong healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience with the full design cycle from ideation to production.
• Design experience in NX or other CAD package.
• General knowledge of designing for electrical enclosures.
• Knowledge of DFM and GD&T.

• Work across all levels of the organization to develop design requirements.
• Select and manage contract manufacturers for a variety of manufacturing processes.
• Work with PCBAs and electronics enclosures.
