Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• Five years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
• Strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Machine Design skills focused on designing structural frames, mechanical assemblies, and moving mechanisms.
• CAD skills for 3D modeling, drafting, and revision control of mechanical components and systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, industry standards, and safety requirements, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork on-site with engineering, production, and safety teams.
• Familiarity with design codes, FEA or other analysis tools, and basic understanding of quality and continuous improvement practices is an advantage.

Role Description

This full-time Mechanical Engineer role is an on-site position located in Glenwood, MN. The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and systems for ground support equipment or conveyor products, ensuring reliability, safety, and manufacturability.

Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, performing engineering calculations, and supporting prototyping and testing activities. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, quality, and operations, contributing to project planning, timelines, and documentation. The Mechanical Engineer will also participate in continuous improvement, troubleshoot existing designs, and support custom engineering requests to meet specific customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• Five years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.

• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for 3D modeling, drafting, and revision control of mechanical components and systems.
