Qualifications

• Strong 1D and 3D CFD modeling/analysis for turbomachinery or industrial power.
• Background with gas/steam turbines, compressors or turbomachinery.
• Proficiency with CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, CFX, STAR-CCM+.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, turbulence modeling.
• Experience in aerodynamic performance, flow-path optimization, pressure losses, and thermal efficiency.
• Ability to translate simulation results into practical design improvements.
• Experience in power generation or industrial turbomachinery desirable.

Responsibilities

I'm partnering with an innovative startup developing next-generation industrial power generation systems, and we're looking for a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with experience in turbines, gas turbines, or industrial turbomachinery.

This is an opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team developing advanced power generation hardware, with significant ownership over the design, simulation, analysis, and optimization of complex rotating machinery and fluid systems.

Requirements

• Strong experience with 1D modeling and 3D CFD simulation and analysis, ideally for turbomachinery or industrial power applications.
• Background working with gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, expanders, or other turbomachinery or rotating equipment.
• Proficiency with CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, CFX, STAR-CCM+, or similar.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and turbulence modeling.
• Experience with aerodynamic performance, flow-path optimization, pressure losses, and thermal efficiency.
• Ability to translate simulation results into practical engineering design improvements.
• Experience within power generation, industrial turbomachinery, or energy systems is highly desirable.
