Job summary

Automation Displays, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and support mechanical systems and enclosures for customer projects and new products.

You will work with Electrical Engineers to ensure integrated systems, collaborate with Manufacturing for production support, and perform detailed design calculations and material selection to meet cost and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years mechanical engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or automation preferred.
• Experience designing mechanical assemblies or enclosures preferred.
• Experience with 3D CAD software required (SolidWorks/Inventor or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, enclosures, and related engineered solutions.
• Develop mechanical drawings, models, specifications, and bills of material.
• Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Support customer projects from concept through production release and project completion.
• Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and engineering evaluations.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and hardware based on design requirements and project objectives.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Operations teams to support production, assembly, and issue resolution activities.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations.

Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and support of mechanical systems, enclosures, assemblies, and engineered solutions for customer projects and product development initiatives. • Experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, controls, or engineered-to-order environments preferred.
• Experience designing mechanical assemblies, enclosures, or industrial equipment preferred.
• Experience utilizing 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar design software required.
