Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop transmission systems for Medium Wheel Loader applications. The role supports NPI, CPI, cost reduction, field issue resolution, and factory support, working with gears, bearings, shafts, seals, and other rotating drivetrain components.

Job description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Design Engineer to support the design and development of transmission systems used in Medium Wheel Loader applications. This role supports New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI), cost reduction initiatives, field issue resolution, and factory support. The engineer will work with gears, bearings, shafts, seals, and other rotating drivetrain components while collaborating with global engineering, manufacturing, validation, supplier, and purchasing teams.

Responsibilities

• Prior Caterpillar experience or familiarity with Caterpillar products and processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of East Peoria, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $54.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
