Job summary

Arch Precision, LLC in Missouri is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop and maintain detailed work instructions, SOPs, and process flow charts while driving continuous improvement across production lines.

You will collaborate with suppliers, utilize Autodesk Inventor, Epicor Kinetic, ERP systems, and MS Office to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance quality and efficiency on the factory floor.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining detailed work instructions, SOPs, process flow charts, and processing engineering change orders.
• Collaborating with suppliers for test tooling and ERP entry for ordering materials as needed.
• Resolving daily operational, software, or hardware problems on the factory floor, including troubleshooting, repairing, or redesigning equipment.
• Designing efficient plant layouts and evaluating/purchasing of new equipment.
• Actively participating in or leading continuous improvement projects, such as 5S, Preventative Maintenance Scheduling, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Training production personnel on new processes, and working with design engineers, technicians, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Assist Quality Manager with troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing quality standards to minimize defects.

  Creating and maintaining detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow charts, and processing engineering change orders.

  • Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office software preferred.

• Process Improvement & Development:

  Designing new production methods, optimizing existing workflows, and implementing technologies to increase efficiency and lower costs.

  • Collaboration with suppliers for test tooling.
