Job description
Responsibilities:
Design mechanical chassis, enclosure for electrical enclosure
Develop CAD models for basic components to do prototyping.
Thermal simulation and analysis of electrical instrumentation (preferred)
Modify and improve current concepts of testing equipment.
Prepare production drawing and effectively communicate with potential manufacturing vendor.
Participate in design validation and characterization during prototype bring up and product deployment.
Mechanical design tolerance analysis
Drive failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to reach design solutions and corrective actions.
PCB, Flex MCO design and documentation as PD
Design and develop test fixtures, jigs, mounting brackets, alignments systems, etc.
Characterization set up
Pogo pin based fixture design (preferred)
Requirements:
Experience with 3D CAD Tools: Unigraphics NX (preference), SolidWorks, ProEngineer, etc.
Experience in design and implementation of basic test apparatus
Experience in GD&T (Geometry, Dimensioning and Tolerancing), alignment datum set up, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA).
Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems is required.
Ability to communicate well with cross-functional and cross company team members and be able to efficiently collaborate to achieve project goals.
