Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from EAC/ABET certified school.
  • Experience in HVAC or Plumbing design.

  • Meet with utilities to work out building connections.
  • Perform energy code compliance calculations.
  • Model buildings for LEED Energy credits.

Overview

Erdman Anthony is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work with architects and building owners under the guidance of a Professional Engineer to translate owner needs into a building design that is buildable, cost-effective, and sustainable.

Responsibilities
  • Calculate heating and cooling loads using Carrier HAP software to size equipment
  • Estimate energy use and savings using EQuest and other simulation programs
  • Lay out ductwork, piping and equipment using AutoCAD software
  • Model building HVAC and plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit software
  • Survey buildings: take photos, measurements, assess equipment
