Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
- Coordinate with project managers to work on projects and understand the scope of work.
- Use computer‑aided design (CAD) and drafting equipment and software, along with other technology, to create prototypes.
- Analyze the test results and change the design or system as needed.
- Oversee the manufacturing process for the machinery or equipment.
- Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
- Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget.
- Utilize Finite Element Analysis for product testing and design.
- Use Matlab for complex mathematical computations and simulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.
- Advanced skills in Engineering Design, Project Engineering, and Product Design.
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis and Matlab.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proven history of successful project management.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
