Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Arcadia, California, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and test mechanical components and machinery. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
  • Coordinate with project managers to work on projects and understand the scope of work.
  • Use computer‑aided design (CAD) and drafting equipment and software, along with other technology, to create prototypes.
  • Analyze the test results and change the design or system as needed.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process for the machinery or equipment.
  • Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
  • Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget.
  • Utilize Finite Element Analysis for product testing and design.
  • Use Matlab for complex mathematical computations and simulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Engineering Design, Project Engineering, and Product Design.
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis and Matlab.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proven history of successful project management.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
