Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in 3D CAD design and a deep understanding of 480V-36kV switchgear systems. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to the modernization of electrical infrastructure.

This is a remote-friendly position with approximately 25% travel required for site visits and project assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for low and medium-voltage switchgear systems using 3D CAD tools.
• Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards for 480V-36kV systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing staff.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and gather data for modernization projects.
• Create detailed fabrication drawings and support documentation for manufacturing.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in switchgear or electrical equipment.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, IEEE, NEMA).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
