We currently have an opening in our New York Project Management Department for an experienced Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Design Package Project Manager with large project experience in an urban environment. Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience leading Design Build Design Development, leading a team through full design delivery for construction, and managing sub-contracts and approvals.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing project scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communication, coordination, manpower, and discipline requirements.
  2. Overseeing project initiation, execution, control, and closeout.
  3. Following up on Design Packages daily.
  4. Conducting workshops with well-documented agendas and minutes weekly.
  5. Coordinating with other design disciplines, including BIM development and clash detection.
  6. Ensuring proper filing and document control.
  7. Managing RFI/Submittal processes.
  8. Coordinating with sustainability and environmental professionals, and safety & security compliance.
  9. Reviewing and processing Design Packages.
  10. Facilitating quality processes, including reviews and constructability assessments.
  11. Managing submittal packages, engaging with contractors, and leading meetings.
  12. Coordinating with subject matter experts and managing sub-contractors and progress payments.
  13. Handling internal reports, MWBE compliance, and invoicing.
  14. Updating management on project status, tracking budgets, and managing change orders.
  15. Managing project contracts and developing project manuals.
  16. Overseeing project budgets, extra work requests, and invoicing.
  17. Scheduling manpower and forming project teams.
  18. Leading proposal development and project marketing efforts.

Required Experience:

  1. At least 7 years of relevant experience.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  3. PE or RA license preferred but not required.
  4. Experience in scope, budget, and schedule management.
  5. Experience in private sector and Public/Private Partnerships.
  6. Leadership in design, project controls, and performance management.
  7. Managing complex budgets and successful project delivery.
  8. Experience across the project lifecycle from proposal to construction.
  9. Proven ability to lead marketing, proposals, and client presentations.
  10. Leadership in multidisciplinary team coordination.

Abilities and Behaviors:

  1. Financially savvy with invoicing management skills.
  2. Ability to review and guide design without hands-on involvement.
  3. Experience managing all disciplines involved in projects.

Compensation Range: $114,544.55 - $152,726.06
