Responsibilities
Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects.
Perform routine mechanical engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
Write and edit mechanical specifications, and select mechanical systems and devices.
Utilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis and mechanical equipment selections.
Prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings.
Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects.
Supervise work of Mechanical CAD Technicians and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff.
Take responsibility for construction contract administration requiring field inspections.
