DSM-H Consulting seeks a mechanical drafting specialist to help ensure drawings accurately reflect client component requirements. You will collaborate with client engineering teams and the project leader to apply engineering guidance and maintain quality across the project lifecycle.

Daily activities include reviewing scope, creating and updating drawings, interfacing with engineers, and delivering projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 years of mechanical drafting experience.
• Experience with 3D parametric CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
• Proficient in applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsabilités

• Review project scope, status, and deadlines with the project team leader.
• Create or update part or assembly drawings per guidance and client standards.
• Interface with project engineers to address scope questions.
• Complete projects timely in line with engineer expectations.

- This role helps contribute to product quality by to ensuring the information necessary to successfully manufacture and assemble client components are applied on our drawings through extensive teamwork and collaboration with the client engineering team.

Typical task breakdown:

• Works with project team leader daily to review projects scope, status, and deadlines
• Responsible for creating and/or updating part or assembly drawings in accordance with engineering guidance and client's engineering standards and specifications.
• Interface with project engineers to address any questions pertaining to project scope requirements.
• Complete projects in a timely manner in alignment with project engineer’s expectations

Interaction with team:

• Employees will collaborate with team members on a daily basis to share best practices, trouble shoot problems, discuss project scope questions

Education & Experience Required:

• Years of experience: 2 years experience required.
• Degree requirement: 2 year technical degree in CAD

Top 3 Skills

(Required)

• Prior mechanical drafting experience (preferably for equipment based mechanical components)
• experience with 3D parametric drafting/modeling softwares (ex. PTC Creo-preferred, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor)
• Proficiency in application of Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing on drawings (specifically related to ASME Y14.5 standards)
