Job summary

MBRAUN LLC is seeking a full-time Mechanical Drafter to join our Engineering Department. The role focuses on finalizing project drawings and preparing complete drawing packages for production release, with responsibilities including fabrication drawings, minor design changes, and documentation for purchases.

Ideal candidates will have experience with PTC Pro‑E/Creo, ability to specify AWS weld callouts, and familiarity with industrial machinery drawings and manufacturing processes.

Job Description

M.Braun, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Drafter to join our Engineering Department. This person will be responsible for finalizing project drawings and all associated details prior to the production release. Job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for creation of fabrication and sub-assembly drawings to provide to vendors for quoting and purchase
• Make minor design changes to existing products
• Research, cross reference and specify components and standards when needed
• Prepare and finalize complete drawing package for release
• Complete all documentation for purchase parts
• Responsible for processing department related nonconformances when required

Job Requirement

• Experience using PTC Pro-E/Creo CAD Software preferred , other CAD Software experience considered
• Experience specifying Weld callouts to AWS standards preferred
• Experience creating detailed drawings for industrial machinery including machined parts and sheet metal partsto meet industry standards
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) preferred
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records

Education Requirements

Certificate or diploma in a relevant field of study is preferred

• Physical Requirement: Must have fine motor skills; ability to do a repetitive motion; and the ability to sit for most of the day
