Job summary

Corps Team in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced Mechanical Drafter for a 12-month, on-site contract. You will draft mechanical drawings and support conveyor design using AutoCAD and related Autodesk tools.

You will assist with corrective actions for damaged equipment, asset protection, and maintenance planning, while coordinating with operations and external vendors to ensure safety and quality. Bachelors degree is preferred; 2D/3D drafting expertise with Autodesk products is required to document

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D drafting with Autodesk products.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Architecture, Inventor, and Navisworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafts and revises mechanical drawings for packaging and facility layouts.
• Assists with selecting corrective actions for damaged equipment.
• Oversees asset protection and maintenance programs.
• Coordinates with operations and outside vendors for housekeeping.
• Performs environmental audits and compliance training.
• Documents design processes and estimates costs for design alternatives.
• Prepares conveyor design options using AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Our client, a package delivery and supply chain management company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter for a 12 month contract role in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is fully onsite. Assists with determining proper corrective action to be taken with damaged or worn equipment based on the history of breakdowns and discussions with the operations team to determine the most cost effective solutions. Assists with overseeing the protection of physical assets, facility and equipment maintenance, and facility housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient facility. Dispatches and oversees the work of outside service housekeeping vendors through physical inspections to ensure quality of work. Participates in environmental audits. Provides Compliance training with some supervision. Drafts feasibility studies and assists in projects as needed by the management team. Drafts conveyor design options using computerized drawing software (AutoCAD), computes cost estimates of design alternatives, and documents the design processes. The primary function of this position is drafting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree preferred Proficient in 2D and 3D drafting, utilizing Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Architecture, Inventor with Factory Design Utilities, Navisworks Manage and Docs)

Pay Rate

$24.50- $28.50/hour
