Job summary

Corps Team’s client in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter for a 12-month on-site contract to support package delivery and supply chain operations. The role focuses on drafting, evaluating design options, and assisting with cost estimates for conveyor systems.

Responsibilities include using AutoCAD and related Autodesk tools to produce 2D/3D drawings, supporting equipment maintenance, and collaborating with operations to implement cost-efficient improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D drafting using Autodesk products.

Responsibilities

• Assists with determining corrective action for damaged or worn equipment after reviewing breakdown history and consulting with operations.
• Oversees protection of assets, facility and equipment maintenance, and housekeeping for safe, clean facilities.
• Dispatches and supervises outside service housekeeping vendors via inspections to ensure quality of work.
• Participates in environmental audits.
• Provides compliance training under supervision.
• Drafts feasibility studies and assists management on projects as needed.
• Drafts conveyor design options using AutoCAD and computes cost estimates for design alternatives.

Job description

Our client, a package delivery and supply chain management company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter for a 12 month contract role in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is fully onsite.

The primary function of this position is drafting. The Drafter also:

• Assists with determining proper corrective action to be taken with damaged or worn equipment based on the history of breakdowns and discussions with the operations team to determine the most cost effective solutions.
• Assists with overseeing the protection of physical assets, facility and equipment maintenance, and facility housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient facility.
• Dispatches and oversees the work of outside service housekeeping vendors through physical inspections to ensure quality of work.
• Participates in environmental audits.
• Provides Compliance training with some supervision.
• Drafts feasibility studies and assists in projects as needed by the management team.
• Drafts conveyor design options using computerized drawing software (AutoCAD), computes cost estimates of design alternatives, and documents the design processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Proficient in 2D and 3D drafting, utilizing Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Architecture, Inventor with Factory Design Utilities, Navisworks Manage and Docs)
